About

New The30s & Co. is a network of game servers, consisting of Minecraft servers across various versions, as well as a SuperTuxKart server.

New The30s & Co. was founded as The30s Minecraft Classic Server on 19 November 2021 by Blinky (Hayden). The original server, The30s, went public the day after its founding, on 20 November 2021, and ran for a total of 40 days, closing on 29 December 2021. The30s ran on Mojang’s Minecraft Classic server software, which was severely vulnerable to griefing. At first, The30s was only online for a limited number of hours each day, but the server went 24/7 on 15 December 2021. The30s ran 3 Worlds: World 1, World 2 and World 3. World 1 and World 2 were regular Classic terrain, whereas World 3 was flat with caves underneath the superflat layer. The Conference, at the time called the ‘Active Players’ and later the Active Player Conference, was founded on 4 December 2021 for The30s’ most active and diligent players. On 29 December 2021, due to griefing and at the request of the community, The30s shut down with Blinky’s announcement: ‘The Legacy server has officially ended. Thank you The30s.’ The30s is sometimes retroactively called ‘Legacy The30s’, the ‘Legacy server’ or ‘The30s (2021)’ to distinguish it from New The30s, the MCGalaxy (now British MCGalaxy) server, but ‘The30s’ is still a correct term for the server.

The current ClassiClient server, New The30s, began on 28 December 2021. In a Discord poll, 73% of voters agreed to shutdown The30s and replace it with an MCGalaxy server, with all of Legacy The30s’ previous Worlds archived. Blinky chose the name ‘New The30s’ to indicate that the new server would be a successor to Legacy The30s. popdymc, prolikeagamer and Jarve can generally be considered New The30s & Co.’s most influential Owners.

Blinky was the sole Owner (except for around two weeks total) until 27 October 2022, when popdymc was elected as the 7th Owner of New The30s & Co. Many positive changes were made during popdymc’s time as Owner, like the establishment of the Matrix rooms in addition to the Discord server, the creation of the wiki (with the aid of robot1cfish, who hosted the wiki), the revival of the Legacy server through The30s Flashback! the creation of the beloved but now defunct 1.12.2 server TheMCs, and the creation of The30s The Movie: Part I. However, popdymc was severely inactive during his later months, which lead to a stagnation from around August 2023 until March 2024. popdymc ceased being Owner on 28 June 2024, when prolikeagamer was elected as the next Owner of New The30s & Co.
